Developing Florida State Parks 2024

Remember this: Let Nature Be.

Recently, I have become aware of the issues Florida residences are experiencing in regard to developing infrastructure in Florida State Parks for tourism and entertainment.

Historically, when you consider the weather and subsequent flooding alone, it makes you wonder who came up with this idea? I know the need for money has everyone squeezing the soul out of a lemon, but this gives new anxiety to humankind's progression to a nature-less dystopian reality.

The executive office of Govenor Ron Desantis has proposed nine amendments to nine existing management plans of nine state parks in Florida. This is coming from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

The argument for this is economic growth, expanding public access, increasing outdoor activity, and to improve Floridian quality of life, but does it? Is it a great argument? Is this based upon what is best for the location, or what goes in the state, federal, or local coffers? What about the ecosystem and the biological participants existing in mostly untouched areas? When you are looking for the devil, it is usually county, state then federal. Everything follows suit. The county is all about progression and how it can expand town out into the country. The first sign is the infiltration of energy, cell service, and water companies into areas that are not on a grid. Once you are on a grid, then you become an unwitting hostage to its dictates. Not that those systems are directly bad, but it brings housing and structure that eats away at land and Nature like the Nothing. This is when you have human population growth because people need place to go. This needing a place to go out competes wildlife and Nature. The only predator(s) we seem to have is bad food choices, disease, virus, bacteria and human incompetence among other things.

These are the state parks that are listed as targets for outdoor recreation economy.

  • Honeymoon Island State Park in Pinellas County (lodging, pickleball, and disc golf)
  • Hillsborough River State Park (lodging, pickleball, and disc golf)
  • Oleta River State Park
  • Jonathan Dickinson State Park
  • Doctor Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park
  • Anastasia State Park
  • Camp Helen State Park
  • Topsail Hill Preserve
  • Grayton Beach State Park
There is a proposal for putting a golf course on the state parks. Why? Are there not plenty of those everywhere else?  Don't build another one because you are bored and unchallenged.

Let's look at a real-life golf course that is in the lowlands of South Carolina: The Witch Golf Links. The Witch Golf links was closed (2021-2022) due to excessive flooding that cause the course to be under-utilized or not utilized at all during its golfing seasons. One of the co-partners stated flooding would be a regular thing. This course has 38 acres of wetland and floodplain within its boundaries. Initially, the plan was to build 326-home residential development consisting of 115 townhomes, 211 single family dwellings, and six acres of commercial development. The county had plans to develop this property flood or no flood. At some point, someone made the good decision to not put structures over the wetlands.

This makes you wonder. How can you look at a property and think this is a bad idea and do it anyway? This is the resonating thought in the Floridian brain pan when this was put on the table for them to eat and it was a definite no go meal.

The golf course was sold to which the Horry County Council decided it would be developed into a multi-family housing to give a wider birth to the wetlands and swamps where the front nine ran through it. Here you have a property that went from golf course to housing development.

Who did Horry County decide would be desperate enough to market to and those people would buy an expensive house on a flooded area? Then live with taxes, debt and consequences.

The lesson/idea here for Florida is once DeSantis plunders the state parks with the upgrades and it fails then will it be turned into a housing development? Is it really just a prep for this sort of thing. Gives new meaning to buying Swampland in Florida.

Not to be a bad cookie, sometimes you can mesh lodgings with state parks. Santee state park has yurts that you can stay in, but they are on the bank of the lake with a pier. People stay there because its down in the woods and they don't want to stay in a hotel. You do have to come to God on the fact you will be visited by insects and snakes. There can be a good balance to the situation where the money goes back to the park. This park has a sink hole problem so that would go to repairing the road system inside the park. When you think of lodging you get into the realm of the wastewater management that comes with people. When you have natural disasters and rising water tables the issues are real.

The pickle ball activity should be left to the towners because you would have to build a court and that takes up surface area and needs to be built to withstand increment weather, as does disc golf. Is anyone going to use it regularly? Upgrades to parks tend to not be used as often and fall into disrepair. Now it is money in and lost.

Of course, there is always gateway development. What is that? When the local governance decides they want to ease development on constituents and do a little then when that fails go all in and put a bigger spread down because you have now accepted the buildings, gardens, and structures that are there. What you see every day becomes unseen in the long run. You get desensitized to the reality of it because you don't see the minuscule damage going on under the surface.

The most pressing issue with having our state parks developed is that it falls into the hands of corporations that will see the area as a cash cow or moneymaker on its way to being privatized.

If you are going to develop over an area, get creative and build things that are engineering feats, work with the nature ecosystem and can withstand a Category 5 hurricane. When you think of life over dollar, dollar is going to win depending on who wants it in their pocket.

Ultimately, the concern of Floridians on their state parks is the gentrification towards a house development through cherry picked alterations onto the landscape of the park. It is the impact these alterations have on the now existing residents, wildlife and surrounding ecosystems.

We know our state parks as a place that we can go to get away from the ever-increasing dystopian quality of human life. We resound with Nature by unplugging from it all. Now, someone wants to push an aspect we do not want in that landscape for availability's sake. That is something we already have at home, work, or our daily lives. When you look at human population growth or even migration from other countries, I am surprised that there are not tent camps up everywhere.  Why does everything have to have the life squeezed out of it till all that is left is empty casings with nothing left to give?

If you would like to learn more, click the link and head over to the Florida DEP page to keep current on breaking news for this situation.

Just remember, if it is worth it, it is worth fighting for. Once it is ruined, that is a struggle to get it back to a semblance of what it once was.

Speaker of the House-Tweets-Say What?

Remember this: What is in the hearts of men can be hid for only so long.

I logged on after finally having a fit of sleep befall me. I wake up and the Obama Administration with the help of others has decided to run interference for Standing Rock on this Dakota Access pipeline fiasco.

Credit must go intially to the women and children that started the Stone Camp generating prayer the water stay pure. Credit must be given to anyone voicing their opinion, in army fashion, to the Universe. Prayer means something. What gets behind prayer is conviction, bravery, persistence, what is good and true, and above all things: love.

In order for this message to flow like water everywhere-do not water down anyone's participation in force. The Universe is not honored that way.

That is what governmental representatives and leaders should be doing; their Cosmic job for The People. The People must do their Cosmic job and make sure wayward people stay on track. It is tough, but worth fighting for.

Trump’s administration should really take some notes.

Note No. 0: It is about Universal forces. Like I said, “Good and Evil is being watched at all times. Just because it is not dealt with in your timeline, doesn’t mean it will not happen.”

Note No. 1: It is not about money

Note No. 2: It is about people

Note No. 3: It is about the Earth, and resources those living things occupy

For some reason, House Speaker Ryan just keeps popping in my head in a bad way. I don’t know him but something about him hasn't appeared right.

I scroll down Twitter, not that Twitter is the glaring truth, but words mean something. Here is the screenshot:

If big government-making decisions at its worse means the Obama Administration doing the right thing towards its consituents, maintainting promises made to  indigenous Youth, Elderly, and disenfranchised people is bad policy, what exactly does Rep. Paul Ryan support? Does not sound like it is The People.

822 fingers pushed buttons to support this statement. That is 822 wayward people that have to have their minds re-schooled on why it is better to support clean energy, and not dirty energy.

Makes you wonder why some people are still stuck in the muck like the dinosaurs.

How does the Speaker of the House of Represenatatives arrive at such a derrogatory statement that doesn't appear to support the safety, well-being, and treatment of The People, or Tribal Peoples?

Can trust be given to such a person? And he is the one signing off on bills that go to the President's desk to become law?

Rolls eyes-Oh Creator!

I have been thinking Paul Ryan has an agenda. I googled his job. Everything you see with him is a savior-like photo op image. If Paul Ryan is the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. The Speaker of the United States House of Representatives is second in the United States presidential line of succession, after the Vice President, and ahead of the President pro tempore of the U. S. Senate.

What happens once Trump and Pence are in the White House and something happens to both of them? Who is next in line?
Think hard on this one. What does it mean?

Anyone that plays chess, should consider this a savvy chess move. Putting someone into position, while the pawns are sacrificed. If this chess piece is spouting money over people, what do you think is going to be the future under such a person?

Now, look at the tweet above. Where does Paul Ryan stand on Natural Resources? Where does Paul Ryan stand on watching people get shot in the face with rubber bullets?

If his job is to preserve order, and decorum with a House chamber and recognizing members of the House floor, and making rulings on House procedures-why does it seem like, if we took him out the House, that he doesn’t really have the best interest of The People at heart?

It is a worry that in one tweet, someone at Paul Ryan’s can be validated on why one would feel this person is possibly shifty. His support for digging at natural resources, and demeaning the support of the present President, and those involved to support Standing Rock’s protest against a possible pipeline ruining water supplies, and the Missouri river-is scandalous.

I believe Paul Ryan twitter tweeted his hope that the current Obama Administration could not invoke anymore legislations, or presidential moves before leaving office. He wanted the Obama administration sequestered in the White House without any power to act before leaving office. Why is that?

Never mind-we just saw why with Standing Rock.

This tweet is sublimely stating that Paul Ryan might support all those nasty conditions reeped on the people of Standing Rock, and anyone there.

How can anyone support a person like this, in a high position, that is supposed to be someone whose opinion and judgment carries weight?

I am just leaving this here because I have a bad feeling I will be seeing this again-somewhere.

Paul Ryan hunts, but I am thinking that he is not attached to the land, or the animals he hunts. Otherwise, his outlook would be different.

I am thinking his kind of hunting is utilitarian-which is okay-but translating that over to a bigger audience with a different worldview than your own-when people take their hunting, their lives, and the substrate that action happens serious-maybe he needs to get back to the basics, and become one with its People, himself, and Nature. He's lost in the wilderness of being blind with physical 20/20 vision.

Otherwise, he is just pointing a gun and pulling the trigger on something that is meaningless, other than to put food on a table for utility’s sake.

I am just gonna leave this here. It is not about you guy, its about The People.

Prophecy Point: It Has Been Foretold

Remember this: Everyone loves a good prophecy, especially when the bullet points appear to actualize in the conscious realm.

A Conversation Between Two People

I sat with an African-American woman at a table. We were talking about prophecy, and Jesus.

She tells me with much fervor, “I am like Florence Henderson from Good Times. I always knew Jesus to be the white Jesus with the dark hair. It will not be any other way for me. You come to my house that is what you are going to see hanging on my wall.”

Me: “Would you hang a black Jesus on your wall?”

She looked at me with conviction, “No!”

Me: “But geography-wise he could be Middle Eastern.”

She says to me: “Look! There is no other Jesus. I will not hang a black Jesus on my wall. If I die tomorrow, and go to heaven, I am going to yell back from the pearly gates, “Hey you! He’s white, with dark hair!”

Nothing was going to sway her belief otherwise. Jesus is an integral part of a prophecy of the Bible. This prophecy has its own set of markers. She believes white Jesus with the dark hair, will return. I support her belief in that, if that is her belief. This is not about biblical prophecy.

Jesus was one person, endowed with special gifts to come save the world and people put him up on two sticks, and killed him. Now, people are crucifying each other daily. Jesus is foretold to come back.

I asked her the following questions:

Why do you believe we are given prophecy?

What purpose does Prophecy serve; and for whom?

If the Creator creates, threatens, runs interference on behalf of the created to save, why whip out a prophecy, if the end game is destruction?

I thought it valid questions.

Standing Rock Protester Rants about Colonizing Whites in Camp

I saw post after post proclaiming indigenous prophecy was coming true right before everyone’s eyes. I surfed the comments on social media.

Prophecy needed some problem-solving. The thing about visions and prophecy is rarely detailed, and can’t be depended on. The outcome is vague, vague, vague. Sometimes you need an interpreter.

Prophecies are thrown down on people with no insight; like a dead fly in your soup. Should you eat the soup, or throw it away?

As an example: The children of white men will grow their hair out long and seek out the teaching of indigenous tribes, or go to support them. (loosely, I state this)

This one person stood out with a post that has made the rounds. Beautiful person on the outside, but poison spewing from the inside.

The general complaint was a portion of white visitors to Standing Rock were there for vacation, disrespectful, and unsupervised. This is not an ethnicity issue, it is an organization issue.

If random people show up to your camp have a sign in list, issue a name tag, and give them a job. People have to be informed of their role. If there is a special cultural consideration, sit them down and let them know what is up. Most people will understand and respect that information and request. When you have large numbers of people, there needs to be communication, structure, and organization.

Keeping with the Cosmic Code, let us get back on Prophecy Point.

Prophecy Problem-Solving #1: If the prophecy shall state a disliked people are going to show up at your door to support you, in a vague sort of way (in your moment of need), the Universe is tasking you with a job that you didn’t know you were going to get. It is your task, whether you like it or not, to properly instruct this person on what is expected of them. They want to help you. They just don’t know how, or if it will be accepted.

Everything I see states indigenous people have the instruction for the land and its uses-people show up and now, you have to teach them. One should have the understanding that people aren’t all daft, this being a big world, shouldn’t be insulted on their part either. You are mutually there to help one another. That should be an understandable compromise.

This is the issue that will come back to bite you in the ass. If you mistreat someone that has come to help you, then later, you need help again, that group may be less inclined to come to your aid. This is applicable to anyone.

There is nothing in the prophecy that states the outcome or consequence of bad choices will prevail or occur, other than the dominating theme. Lesser themes affect the dominating theme.

If prophecy states, the white man has to make a decision between destruction, or peace-those white people showing up have to be schooled on why peace is a good idea-so they can carry it back to the outer world.

Prophecy illustrates a hidden point: Different peoples with personal issues in the Great Cosmology have to learn to compromise to get along to serve a common goal that is necessary to all. They must learn the task of working together.

Problem + Problem = Solved

Prophecy illustrates here the need to forgive and sacrifice for the end goal. Do not revisit the past interactions of bad ancestors. Bad ancestral choices gave us all these problems to solve. Can we solve them?

The truth is: It is Possible and doable

In order for the prophecy to get from Point A-verbal speaking of the prophecy, to point B-which is the occurrence of the prophecy, to point C, which is the execution of the Prophecy, then on to Point D, the fulfillment of the prophecy’s end-that means you need to realize your job and do it.

Otherwise, all those people are going to come and go with no transfer of knowledge-no enlighten-no spiritual elevation to move the prophecy in the more beneficial direction.

Brotherhood and Sisterhood has to be built. Trust has to be built. Bonds have to be built. Work on that; inter-personally, personally, and on a bigger stage. Fear-mongering has to be squashed. Prejudices have to be squashed. Resentment has to be dealt with and an understanding reached.

Pissy, for-the-moment truces aren’t going to get it in the long run either.

Stop bitching and do your cosmic job that you didn’t ask for, Oh Chosen Ones. No person in a prophecy wants to be the Chosen Ones. That means work. That means sacrifice on the part of the few for the whole, even if they aren’t that deserving.

People need to sit with clearer minds and determine the root problem, instead of what is the symptom.

Sometimes the Complaint department only has the complaints-they don’t find the solutions.

Yet, Prophecy is not done with us. There has to be a truce called between ethnicity-that is binding-because it isn’t just about the relationship between Caucasians and Indigenous people, but People of African descent, and anyone else willing to smoke the Peace Pipe that has an issue, or bone to pick with the other.

That’s right, Prophecy has some fine print. White man has to decide between technology that incites destruction, being an Earth person, and getting along with his fellow ethnicity. When you stick this under a magnifying lens, the White man is no longer just White people. Its greedy people of many ethnicity brought about by a different kind of pollution.

Prophecy is whispering in your waxed up ears that your eyes need to open and see what you hide from yourself. Laying blame isn’t working anymore. Moving past the blame has to happen.

Prophecy is the passive-aggressive verbalization of a message hidden in messages intuitively articulating a path of choices in hoped the fools involved will get it, and change their ways.

One prophecy read, “People need to know what they are.” Exactly what are you? Answer that question.

I have read several prophecies:

The running theme of mistreated people verbalizing a prophecy to warn the abuser to change their ways, or else bad will come upon the whole. The mistreated person is the disenfranchised person that doesn’t feel they have the power to change their condition-a universal curse has been uttered.

Deep inside, people want to know that the wrong done them by someone they loved, trusted, and cared about will not go unpunished. Deep inside…

Enter the Single Child Born Under Special Circumstance

For any child born under special circumstance built around the markers of a prophecy, adults get half excited.

The child does not know the conditions surrounding its birth; only that it is born.

There’s probably more than one parent that wants to take credit for giving birth to the Anti-Christ.

Prophecy Problem Solving #2: Let the child live a normal life until the moment when something extraordinary occurs. The child will be given decisions to lead the child’s life in the direction of a prophecy eventually. Let it be free until until the Prophecy comes to collect like a mad pied piper.

The problem of a child born within the setting of what looks like a prophecy is:

The child will struggle with other people’s expectations versus choosing its own destiny. Do not lock an innocent child into a predetermined destiny that you are not certain beyond 100 percent of a doubt is linked to a prophecy.

You do not have the right as a human to screw about with someone else’s cosmic thread.

One prophecy read this way: “It’s not the return of a single individual who embodies what we’re becoming, but a process of emergence available to all peoples.”

Prophecy Problem-Solving #3: Prophecy will see fit not to tell you the mysterious ways in which it will speak to you, and through who, or what.

You better be listening with your eyes open, ready to receive.

A couple of prophecies I read:

The Seven Fires Prophecy of the Algonquin:

There are good and evil people in the world. Retrace your ancestor’s steps to find what was hidden and lost. People can either choose the road to destruction, or prosperity. (For prosperity it means you do not use destruction to prosper). It warrants universal cohesion between all people of the Earth.

Tuscarora Prophecy by Mad Bear:

“Every human was created by the Great Spirit, and we can’t hold malice in our hearts toward anyone. This is our way of life, this is our religion. The Great Spirit made the black man, the white man, the yellow man, and the red man. If we were to condemn and beat these people or keep them away we would be going against the Creator because he created them.”

“The governments of the world that are collapsing are those that have been blinded by the material things.”

There are people out there that go by Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.”

The prophecies I have read are not articulated to harm but to warn, and give the hope that someone out there will act human and do right by others as the Great Spirit intended. It could even be the hope a Universal Creator will intervene and punish those that stray from the path of Good. These prophecies are vocalized by people worried about the direction the World is being navigated, and how it is a dishonor upon the Universal Creator, and disrespectful through the human to human interaction to harm each other.

There is the predicament for the way Mother Earth is being sucked dry by the human parasites living on it aka those people that think there is an unlimited supply of everything for the currency of choice.

I would suggest this, as a Relative Stranger, do not hang onto the punishments of the Prophecies. Read between the lines at what is conveyed, for that is the problem, the symptom and the way to find the cures. When you have that, do not be afraid to be a Chosen One.

Even if you are not, there is no rule in the Great Cosmology that says you are not allowed to do your very best to bring about peace, diplomacy, understanding, love, unity, and the infinite, universal cohesion amongst humans and those things of Mother Earth. Sometimes, you have to fight for those things.

Quite frankly, it is a tragedy that one need invoke a prophecy because Earthlings don’t have the social skills to do several simple human acts; love, compassion, kindness, and forgiveness.

There are many doorways. If everyone did the work to ensure a better world-Prophecy's threat over time, as we wait on it, will be void.

Politically-Incited Repressed Memories

Remember this: Emotions are linked to previous traumas. Invoke the memory to free the emotion, and watch it run rampant.

Since this election, I have found myself the observer and participant in bridging some strange gaps between me and other people.

By the way, the best way to bridge a gap is to sit down with someone, extend understanding by listening fully to their concerns instead of diminishing them with rhetoric and hate. They have to talk the poison out. For important issues, talk to the horse’s head and not its ass.

I was sitting across the table from an African-American woman who said, “If Trump thinks I am going to go back to the way we lived when people of color couldn’t mingle with white people-then he is wrong.”

I said, “I was born in (blank space). I didn’t have anything to do with that.”

She said, “I will not have a white person telling me what to do.”
She was angry and wanted nothing to do with me; a week separation from her was required.

I took a pause and thought: What could it be? I was a stranger to her.

I was having a burden placed on me that wasn’t my shame to bear. By God, I wasn’t going to bear it either. I didn’t care who I had to fight to figure it out. Yet, where could it possibly come from? It came from her memories. Mine too.
You really had to be a part of the busing that went on around 1974 to understand. This was a time when schools were being desegregated and equalized so there was a certain proportion of Caucasians integrated with African-American children. We were tossed together, regardless of home training and expected to integrate as one.

It worked where I lived so long as you didn’t have the awful whispers of ethnicity hate at home.

If you were poor and Caucasian, you were sent to the rural African-American schools. If you were a financially capable Caucasian, you were enrolled into a private school.

Without reliving the details, children from this era were raised within the bosom of desegregation and the stress it caused by generating situations where conflict was present. It was rough on Caucasian and People of Color because both sides were indoctrinated with predisposed familial-inherited hate and avoidance, then thrust into a situation were previously both groups were conditioned to avoid.

What made it somewhat of a success was there was integration of teachers of different ethnicity with the belief they could work together and educate children of varying ethnicity, without falter, and succeed.

That is the Power of Love.

I had some of the best teachers in the poorest school district because they loved us, and worked because they loved us in spite of what surrounded us outside of the school walls.

One can’t forget the parents brave enough to be okay with sending their children to ethnically equalized schools.

Here you see a multiple-joint effort to get a desired outcome.
Eventually, differing people in a community began to begrudgeonly get along.  The world passes with each new dynamic to challenge an old system that segregated people out. People died for this change.

Years and years later, you begin to see groups self-segregate on their own under the belief they are not being served equally as other groups.

All previous hard work is drifting like broken continents.
All these different groups have their own agenda that moves within the realm of an ethnicity’s majority taking control of the Power, whatever that power may be.

There is no overall unifying harmony in this dynamic. There is no broad spectrum for it to feed into. It is a selfish intention spotlighting to get power over another group in the hopes of controlling the destiny of the main group and the other targeted groups.

It is the emotion of fear, anger, and an avenging Nature fueling the idea, that if one has control they can alleviate the suffering on the chosen group, but end up elevating the suffering on another lesser desired group for justifiable reasoning. There is no balance in this system-ever.

When Trump became the President elect through the Electoral College, everything that he spoke of as a means to gain control and cater to a certain group of people in America, set all those that were not considered into a series of repressed memories and ideas from a long time ago. What wasn’t repressed was now clearly invited into the open to show its ugliest faces.

Society lives with the truth that ugliness lives with us constantly and we hardly ever get a break from it.

When someone is not saying terrible things and making innocent people look bad, corporations are using brutal and less than sanitary means to beat down on a people to get a project finished regardless of the future consequence for profit's sake.

Cast your eyes to Standing Rock. The Sioux are protesting against DAPL placing a pipeline in proximity of their water supply and the possible consequence of a breach in the pipeline polluting their only source of water. There is the truth it was redirected from Bismarck for the same reasons Standing Rock didn’t want it near their water. DAPL didn’t budge because they figured no one cared about Standing Rock and it would be a breeze to knock them over and the world wouldn’t even notice the thump in the night.

When you are an observer looking at the images coming out of Standing Rock, you realize all it takes is the right thing applied to you, and easily you could be in the same predicament.

You can look back over different time zones of history and see images reflecting the exact same thing. It is the brutality, the lack of diplomacy, the lack of understanding, and the overall lack of not listening to the concerns of people, and taking them seriously while treating them as if they are “scum of the Earth” as one DAPL employee uttered on a video easily accessed online.

Where is the mutual respect? Do constituents not deserve it?

Information bleeding out into the social media zones clearly articulate how one stranger can have no regard for human life. That same person could be riding on the Subway with you, or sitting with a cup of Starbucks coffee at Barnes and Nobles.
When you have someone coming along, stating they care nothing for you, or your issues, it echoes back into government especially if governmental agencies, banks, and anyone else with power are backing these people.

The very last thing the American public needs right now is the idea now seeded in our heads that we cannot trust our government to listen to us, act on our behalf, and take our needs seriously.

These traumas bore several ideas with it.

It brought about the idea that someone in a trusted position of power could use that position, and that power, to inflict great pain on innocent people employing them. That position is the Presidency an any other governmental position with means to invoke a power play affecting the populace. The Presidency is not a place for a hate and fear monger. Nor should it be a place where the majority control of a group for self-serving interests should take advantage of the American public to condone a fascist regime geared to support Republican rule, as the majority.

Diversity matters in more ways than one.

It was the idea that someone in power could wield it in such a way to incite broken trust, anger, and contempt among constituents where outward displaces of pettiness ruled the social media strata.

This infliction of harm could happen to minorities, LGBT, immigrants, and pretty much anyone regardless of creed, or ethnicity; all it needs is a target.  People could be subjugated. Those not doing the subjugation would carry the crime for someone else’s actions.

It was already bad enough that daily individual race relations at the basement level were difficult to hurdle, but having it flaunted on a national amphitheater magnified its effects way out of proportion.

Everyone is guilty for being judgmental and labeling others even before we get to know them. In Trump’s case, he was already a person with a Celebrity facade who slipped from one facade to another much to his benefit.

One of the indicators plaguing this Presidency is: the notion and idea, be it a glaring light, that all the hard work done by people all over the world, and here in the United States, could be destroyed in the swipe of a pen, like a mean child would kick down another person’s sand castle that took hours to build. These people and their actions have done great things. These efforts are to move society to become more independent from the addictions that are ruining our planet and its people.

In a nutshell: Our bad memories of the past should not be allowed to affect our children’s future. Nor should we be enslaved to it forever, or have it wielded against us as some kind of unintentional psychological manipulation.

We have a right to say “No” for ourselves, other people we stand with and for, our children, the World, and the condition of our Earth. We have a right to “say No to that”.

Trump could be the ultimate trickster-for good or evil, or his own boogie man, who knows?

What Trump needs now is a Jiminy Cricket because his behavior is unbecoming of a President.

Who Came Up With that Phrase?

Remember this: Form a better argument.

I have read a lot of articles by celebrity hunters, and seen posts that state, “hunting is conservation”.

I really wanted to be a thoughtful consumer when approaching this. I argue there is a hunting propaganda machine out there with a public relations department circulating this phrase-as an outdoors consumer-I should really give this some thought. For anyone reading this and seeing this type of thing circulating-maybe you should give it a second glance as well. I’m not saying act, but it is your outdoor sports, too.

Conservation is a multi-disciplinary science filled with many subdivisions-all based in science, such as wildlife, genetics, ecology, and biological. These terms can be applied to the land, air and sea as substrates in which the act of hunting takes its form. Hunting is not one of those. There are people that will suggest it as a fact.

Hunting is used as the action word here. I will stay on point with it. Given this, people who utilize the outdoors for sport can advertise “fishing is conservation”, but it’s not as catchy, or carries itself like hunting.

Hunting has become a power word. Unfortunately, those wielding it in the public as role models didn’t listen to Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben. Power words bring great responsibility.

Unfortunately, that power word is only as crucial as the one wielding it. Do not misuse your powers.

Misuse is what I see.

Hunting is an act generated from hunters, who go out and use their skills to garner a living thing and render it dead for food, or catch and release for pleasure.

Hunting and Conservation can be interchangeable tools for scientific use. Never be confused the two terms are one and the same. Someone may try to morph the two words together to further some poorly laid argument to support the argument itself-don’t be fooled.

Hunters managing an area can have a scientific study performed to tell them what Conservation plan would be best suited to build on the area they already have for maximum output and upkeep for the sake of their hunting activities. Without the quarry, the hunting act is empty.

Hunters can be conservationists. One day they can hunt, the next day they can plow their field to reseed for quail populations.

Now that I have said this, some nut somewhere is going to get his brief ready on why they need to make “Conservation Hunting” a scientific stand-alone. This is not comparable to Conservation Genetics.

People don’t hunt-technology does that for them, or so it seems.

One truth here is hunting itself becomes a monitoring data point in scientific study to issue information over a given species on a landscape. It may give information on the overall general health of the area and its inhabitants, but not the sole data point.

In a scientific study, hunting as an act is not the center of the universe-even though online posts would make it seem so.

This is not an opinion-it is a scientific fact.

If you are privy of the past and present scientific research in the ecological, biological, and natural resources of conservation, the reader discovers and understands that the act of hunting is a data point to be studied to determine what effect that particular act has on the outcome of the study groups from a list of chosen data points to be studied.

Just to exhibit layman data points in a domestic area, I give you the horse.

I will use the concept of horses in a field. The horse owner already knows they need a certain amount of acreage per horse (data point 1) and a water supply (data point 2). Horses drink about 1 gallon per 100 pounds of body weight.  Increase this by four times during the hot season (data point 3), hard work (data point 4), lactation (data point 5), and extra dry roughage consumed depending on winter or spring (data point 6). A 1000 pound horse will consume and waste three tons on average of forage dry matter during a 6 month grazing season.

The horse owner also has to take into consideration the carrying capacity of any pasture depending on soil type, soil fertility, drainage conditions, rainfall, time of year, and type of forage species present. Data point, data point, data point. Hunting can become a data point when a wayward hunter shoots into a field killing one of the horse specimens in the field. Those data points have to be noted.

Here you have a slow breeder living in domestication that is affected by its biological needs and size, and the environment it lives in. One horse in a field has its own unique set of data points to consider for its well-being and upkeep. You have to have a forage, water, and grazing plan with subsequently blocking of select areas for plants to grow and rotate the horse out for proper grazing.

Now apply that to wildlife in large expanses with human habitation living on the boundary. Somewhere there is a conservation plan for exactly how many wildebeest need to be living in a given area depending upon migration. Grazing animals living in a given area over a period of time can graze themselves right out of food without exception to the fact the weather patterns effect on forage.

An elephant can eat 200-600 pounds of food a day and drink up to 50 gallons of water a day. Now apply the horse theory to an elephant but use a conservation plan based in science.

Here you have a slow breeder, living in the wild affected by its biological needs, size, and the environment it lives in.

Regular people living their lives do not think in terms of the needs of the animal, the ecosystem or what goes into the upkeep or management. They only know it is wrong for the animal to die at the hands of a hunter.

I have read plenty of scientific research where the data point of hunting was carefully followed to determine, with regards to that particular research, that hunting had a positive effect on the conservation of species in that given area and study. As a tool, in a given area, using a conservation plan implementing hunting as a data point, hunting can have a positive influence overall when not misused.

That is not an opinion-it has been studied and determined valid under given limits.

We can use the human animal here as an example, such as the elephant and horse. Syrian refugees have to have food, water, and a location. Someone has to come up with a plan to manage these immigrants. Apply the horse model to immigrants and their needs.

You really have to look deeper into the mud puddle past your reflection-and that mud hole goes deep.

When the hunter considers the great expansive of some parts of North and South America, Africa, Canada, and the Mongol grasslands, with huge herds of a variety of wildlife in need of a conservation plan, that are surrounded eventually by human habitation, there is a lot of mathematical application to biological work to help form a plan of management to keep those areas functioning at an acceptable level. This is not even considering the ecological impact of the land and ecosystems via other variables.

The Earth is big. It is a challenge given problems like ocean acidification. That is a whole different set of problems to talk about. Yikes! I would stay under that oak tree at the river with all this doom and gloom.

A fact is hunters do contribute a lot of money. Don't let money be your only supportive argument. Let’s own that as a fact. Hunters don’t need to argue to space that hunting is conservation when it is not. Hunter money does support a lot of scientific research and conservation effort. We shouldn’t expect gratitude from non-hunters abhorred to hunting. Just keep doing what you’re doing, don’t take more than you can use or need, and do as much work as you need to sustain the populations and habitats for future generations.

Be proud of that.

Don’t expend energy on fighting. Spend more time on contributing to organizations willing to be truthful and not manipulative in the way it directs its members to promote the outdoor sports.

If you voice your opinion, and you feel confident your stance is valid, stand your ground. If you find a person who makes more sense-maybe you should listen. Give it a second or third thought.

“Hunting is conservation” begins to look like a poor choice of words. If someone wanted to give the term hunting a home, it would be stashed amongst natural resource conservation. Don’t believe me? Look at that survey from the local Department of Natural Resources and ask yourself, “Why do they want me to send in how many turkeys I’ve seen?”  Data point for an impromptu scientific study using citizen science to give numbers because of lack of state funding. Why do you think the Department of Natural Resources controls the legalities of hunting, your permits, boats, public access areas, and wildlife managed areas?

Other than that, someone is trying to force a golden egg out the back end of a goose that is not laying. Cramming it down the throats of hunters is not going to produce a golden egg either.

Broken down as a truth, in the greater scheme of things, hunting is rendered as a scientific variable.

This is an example of a report where hunting is a variable or mode of removal to gain samples for an ecological study-hence it being a variable in a scientific research study.

You will read the term “offtake” as “a number of individuals removed from the environment through hunting or harvesting by humans”.

See article below (circa 2015):

This article discusses deforestation and hunting pressure of the Pano Indians in the Amazon (circa 2016). Review the section entitled, "Assessing wildlife status using hunting data":

The next step on the public relations ladder is advertising “hunting is science”.

Hunting is not Conservation.

Role Model: Female Huntress

Remember this: You want bees-use honey. You want blowflies-use dead wild game carcass.

I told myself I would never do this again. I have been reading the Miley Cyrus rants and reviewing the current and on-going female representation in hunting via social media’s ether, by labeling certain females as role models of hunting.

I was disappointed. Was there a light somewhere in the smog of hunting that shows one female had finally diverted from the it’s all about me, hate the anti’s, and how dare you fellow hunter question me and my antics?

I removed my glasses and massaged my temples before humorously setting about finding this person. I was a little astounded by what I found-because of the one.

My thinking was: if I peruse the role model females’ pages in the mildest sense of research-there should not be a problem. That is what a role model is for-a template for someone not accustomed to what something should be to help them mimic it.

I saw the insulting quote post about looking at a page one too many times. If you wanted celebrity, then you shouldn’t have a problem having people look at it 100 times. What is up with the baiting posts?

Is that not what you wanted? Is it to the point, the page holder feels confident in mistreating anyone cruising through because the page itself represents a target for some? The page has a bait post to drag someone in for confrontation-so it is set up to catch sensitive types that have to post with knee jerk reactions.

I think of addiction-the addict gets use to a certain drug or liquor, and hits the poison of choice everyday not realizing the damage it is doing to their brain, body, and soul. Everyone around this poor soul is saying to them, this is detrimental to you-why don’t you stop? You watch them tip the bottle back, or crack open their chemistry set of narcotics to issue a dose-then off to lala-land they go; dead to the world and your warnings.

Right now, there are certain female hunting role models that do not realize the damage they are doing to themselves and anyone looking up to them. They rebuke intelligent recourse, and some of those interactions are probably negative which makes them ear-blind.

They are in a blind but they’re blind.

This is not about how the female hunting role model goes out and does her physical hunting, or her mentality when participating. It is about the behavior of a human being that disregards fellow hunters’ observations on their behavior and how it is detrimental to what they are trying to achieve. The garbled message people are comprehending and following in behind is lost to the four winds.

I had to stop looking at all this hunting squalor because it makes me feel like I am watching bad chintz wallpaper peel. It is boring too, because the articles are all the same.

If I want reality, I’ll mosey on over to Meateater. I can live with Steve and his wormy attitude.

I looked up four female hunters that are considered to some extent female role models. I went by their Facebook pages, ergo some of them had twitter accounts with the same information but varying followers.

% Promoting hunting for women, children, and education

*Finally learned the power of good Public Relations and filtering the crap from the cream. Guess who this No. 4 is?

I wonder. Why it is important to entertain a conversation when it is based around negative rhetoric?

I won’t lie. Some of these women make me want to gag-gagging the rainbow.

I see posts saying, “Do your research, learn about wildlife conservation…”, but you do not see the research being displayed on these women’s pages.

You want that information; you have to read Ecology, National Wildlife, Wildlife Conservation Magazine, State wildlife Magazines, or Ranger Rick.

I digress; I don’t have to bash any of these females. That door was opened by them the moment they took to social media, and the world started throwing punches and shooting fire arrows at them.

No. 4 was Melissa Bachman. I perused her Facebook page and actually like it, when before I didn’t. It is more professional and the negativity has been drained from it. It was good to see at least one problemed female taking her public relations and image seriously, while putting the focal point on her abilities, performance and outreach instead of being the visual victim of attacks with pomp and circumstance through self-generated altercations.

Some hunters want to articulate to these top-notch celebrity figures that the behavior and the actions are causing the problem-but fear being excluded and branded a hunting heretic.

Does anyone remember the election? I didn't get the memo to vote, did you?

I would not have voted any of these people as role models, celebrities, or even representatives of the Hunting sport. It is shameful to say the least, and that is the women-some of the men are just as bad.

If you want to do Hunting a favor, hunters need to stand up to this kind of behavior. Hunters need to let these hunters, voted by unknown sources as the representation of the hunting sport, be informed by the masses that what is being publicly advertised and displayed as examples of hunting participants is not consistently true of the vast number of diverse hunters. It is direly erroneous.

It is a misrepresentation of the diversity and quality of hunters everywhere.

I want to know when this crap is going to stop being a thing.
